Jack Returns From A Mini-Iowa Vacation

After six days of visiting with Grandma Jean and Grandpa Ron, Jack returned to the La Grange area with newly acquired tastes.

Imagine that! He comes back home with a taste for corn-on-the-cob and BarBQ baby back ribs.

Walk and Roll Chicago 2006

This past Sunday, May 21st, Sabine and I took part in the Walk and Roll Chicago fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Combined we raised $1,325 in donations. The ride was a lot of fun, but it was a little chilly. Fifteen miles along the lake and streets of Chicago. Between the cool temps, the number of participants, and the streets with traffic I didn't get to take any pictures. I'll include the team photo we took before race started, though. Sabine and I are in the back row on the left side of the photo.

Doctor Lee Retires From J.J.C. After 24 Years

On May 7th, The American Federation of Teachers local honored Lee and four other retiring professors with a luncheon and awards ceremony. On the following Wednesday, members of theNursing Department held a retirement luncheon for Lee.

Her farewell cake enshrined her as one of the "experts" with other notables from the Psych and Nursing worlds.

Mysterious Swinger

Just who was this mysterious swinger discovered on the rear deck of Lee and Larry Shell, of Western Springs? While we don't know the identity of this young man in his Foster Grants, we are sure we'll be seeing more of his rugged handsome features and knowing smile in the future.
