May 22, 2007 - Jack's Sister Arrives!!

She arrived rather quickly this morning as the card above indicates. Lou and Ang left for the hospital at 7:45am, they arrived there at 8:00am. I would say 8:59am is quickly, wouldn't you?

As you can see, she has an adequate amount of dark hair, not the near invisible blond like her brother.

Clearly, her nose is like her brother's, and you can see the shadow of a dimple in her right cheek. There is another one just like it in the left cheek.

Listening to her sing, she is clearly a Coloratura!!

So, here is the Louis and Angela Shell family as it is now constituted.

And Finally ...

... I have the distinct pleasure of introducing you to Miss Audrey Jane Shell.

Love. Blood. Kryptonite. Screening

I already posted about this in the What We're Watching section of the page, but Geoff sent me some of the pictures taken that night and I wanted to get them in the main page, too. I'll date this entry around 5/21, so it fits in with the overall chronology even though I'm actually making this post on 6/10.

Monday 5/21 there was a screening of the indie movie Geoff has been working on. Geoff worked on the scoring for the movie and helped pick other music that was in it. The movie was written, directed, and made by highschool students at Oak Park-River Forest, and produced by one of their teachers. It was executive produced by John Mahoney (Fraser), who lives in Oak Park.

I edited this post after adjusting the brightness of the second picture. Uncle Stan was lost in the darkness of the theater, and I tweaked the brightness a little to make him visible again. :)

The Pickwick Theatre marquee showing Love. Blood. Kryptonite. along with Spiderman 3, Shrek 3, and a couple other movies.

Geoff, Sabine, Leighton, Aunt Dawn, and Uncle Stan in the theater waiting for the movie to start. Aunt Maggie and Uncle Mike came, too, but they sat further back in the theater since they couldn't stay for the Q&A.

Lou's Birthday Dinner

Saturday Lou got to actually have his birthday on his actual birthday. That doesn't happen often.

Since the weather was nice, Dad/Boompa got to fire up the grill.

What was the birthday boy's meal of choice? Grilled steak with baked potato, mushrooms, and cauliflower.

It was quite the delicious meal.

And finishing it off was birthday cocoa banana cake, french silk pie, and strawberry rhubarb pie. Lou had a little help with the candles thanks to Jack.

Happy Birthday, Bro!

Happy Birthday, Lou. I figured I did this the last two years, so why break the streak now. See you tonight for the birthday dinner.
