Fort Jackson

Last week I was off work for Presidents Day and I swung by Western Springs. I didn't know Jackson was visiting, too. When I got there he had built himself a nice little fort out of couch cusions and a blanket.

It also kinda looks like he's wearing a giant yellow sombrero.

"Nanna, What's That?"

Many "critters" visit the deck at Nanna & Boompa's house to be fed, from Red Tailed Hawks to "Chippies." They come and go so fast that it is difficult to photograph them. However, while playing in the family room the other day, Jack raised the title question, "Nanna, what's that?"

Of course, it is the only marsupial native to North America; the unattractive Opossium.

Nanna's Valentine's Day

Nanna enjoyed St. Valentine's Day with flowers from Boompa and a special 1 course meal from Lou Malnati's. (Deep-dish "veggie" pizza!)

(BLOGGER'S NOTE: After being attacked, there wasn't enough pizza left to photograph.)

Snow, snow, and more snow

With all this snow, a snowman was in order.

And Jackson wanted to do a tribute to Gracie... a snowdog.
